Acceptance

Please read the Mobilier Ethique Terms and Conditions carefully before making your purchase. By entering Mobilier-ethique.com you acknowledge and agree to all the terms set out below.

Price and payment

All prices on Mobilier Ethique are given in New Zealand Dollars and exclude delivery costs. 

Mobilier Ethique uses Stripe to process orders via our online shop. Stripe is a secure payment platform that accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB and Discover credit cards. Full payment is required before we can proceed with your order.

 

After submitting your order online, you will receive a confirmation email including a confirmation of receipt of full payment by credit card.

Custom orders

For custom orders, we require a 50% deposit to start the construction process and the remaining balance once ready to be dispatched. Custom orders are only processed via bank account transfers.

All details will be included in our invoice. All custom orders cannot be cancelled once the order is placed and the deposit paid is non-refundable. 

 

Lead times and availability 

Lead times are listed on our website. Alternatively, contact us if you're unsure about the availability of a product(s). We will inform you as soon as possible if the lead time has changed, due to unforeseen circumstances. 

 

Cancellations

Once an order has been placed you are unable to cancel or alter the order.

 

Shipping & Deliveries

Shipping costs via our online shop are calculated by the total weight of your order. Shipping cost for custom orders are individually calculated by size and weight.

You can either get your order to be shipped all over New Zealand or choose to pick it up at our workshop located at 48C Bond Street, Auckland New Zealand. Alternatively, if you prefer to use your shipping carrier, arrangements can be made. 

 

Return & refund

Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Our pieces are made to your order, once you have paid for your product and work has commenced, then no refund can be offered. Please note that a change of mind cannot constitute a refund or cancellation.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your product, please contact us to discuss returns and exchanges. You will be provided with a returns address.

 

Returns of faulty products will only be accepted if the item was faulty when delivered to you. All products returned as faulty will be inspected on receipt and any items that appear to have been damaged or used by the customer will not be accepted as faulty. We will replace a faulty item if a replacement is available. If you wish to be sent a replacement, please make your request clear when contacting us about the fault. Returns of faulty products must be within 7 days of being received by you. In case we cannot offer you a replacement, you will have the choice of receiving a credit note or a refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any delivery costs incurred.

 

Returns received outside the above time frames will not be accepted. We will only accept returns provided that the products in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. We will not accept returns for any non-faulty items that have been used or incurred wear and tear.

For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products. If you do not return the products delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the products from the amount to be credited or refunded to you.

Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are not refunded for shipments outside New Zealand.

 

Variation in products

A feature of reclaimed timber is the varying colours, grains and textures. Splits, holes and cracks may differ from the picture and these are not to be considered a fault or flaw and will not compromise the construction of any furniture we make.

Due to the nature of furniture construction, all furniture dimensions can vary by +/-20mm.

Content accuracy

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of publication. Prices on site are current at time of display and subject to variation without notice. We will do our best to display accurate descriptions and pricing but are unable to warrant that the product descriptions or other content of the web site are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. We reserve the right to be able to cancel or withdraw an order made online whereby the pricing or information is not accurate or the product has been added to the online store in error. We shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the products on this website.

 

Privacy and security

We are committed to protecting our customer’s privacy. Mobilier Ethique will never distribute any personal information to third parties under any circumstance, including those who subscribe to our mailing list. The information we collect is used solely to process your order and stay in touch with you.

 

Joining the Mobilier Ethique mailing list is optional, although recommended. It will allow us to keep you up to date with the latest info, include what’s new in-store. If you have signed up to our mailing list and would like to unsubscribe, simply email us with unsubscribe in the subject area and you will be removed immediately.
